1. Vieglatlētikas attīstības sekmēšana un augstu sportisku rezultātu sasniegšanas stimulēšana, Biedrības attīstības programmas izstrādāšana. 2. Iedzīvotāju veselības veicināšana un piesaistīšana sporta nodarbībām.
3. Vieglatlētikas attīstības veicināšana skolās, bērnu un skolēnu sporta pasākumu organizēšana. 4. Jauno talantīgu vieglatlētu meklēšana un viņu izaugsmes sekmēšana, finansiāla atbalstīšana Latvijas jaunatnes, junioru un pieaugušo izlases dalībniekiem. 5. Treniņu procesa un vieglatlētikas sacensību organizēšana. 6. Biedrības pārstāvēšana Latvijas un starptautiskajās sacensībās. 7. Apmācību semināru un citu nepieciešamos pasākumu organizēšana. 8.
