1.Sekmēt sporta, īpaši basketbola attīstību Latvijā;
2.Stimulēt augstu sportisko rezultātu sasniegšanu; 3.Popularizēt un veicināt fiziski aktīvu dzīvesveidu, nostiprināt veselību bērniem, jauniešiem; 4.Sporta un veselības veicinošo pasākumu organizēšana; 5.Veicināt augstu rezultātu sasniegšanu un sportistu piedalīšanos Latvijas un starptautiska mēroga sporta sacensībās; 6.Izstrādāt basketbola treniņu procesa metodiskās rekomendācijas; 7.Popularizēt un reklamēt basketbola inventāru, ar basketbola starpniecību popularizēt Latvijas slavu ārvalstīs; 8.Izstrādāt un pilnveidot izglītības un profesionālās pilnveides iespējas sportistiem un treneriem, speciālistiem un sporta interesentiem Latvijā un ārvalstīs; 9.Pilnveidot izmantojamo sporta bāžu tehniski materiālo stāvokli. |
