Veicināt jauniešu nodarbošanos ar sportu;
Attīstīt jauniešu basketbolu, organizēt bērnu, skolēnu, jauniešu un pedagogu izglītojošos, sporta un atpūtas pasākumus; Organizēt labdarības pasākumus, izglītojošas, sporta un atpūtas nometnes, sporta sacensības Latvijas un starptautiskajā mērogā; Izstrādāt basketbola treniņu procesa metodiskās rekomendācijas, izveidot augstas klases sportistu sagatavošanas sistēmu un veicināt tās izpildi; Attīstīt un veicināt sadarbību ar pašvaldības un valsts institūcijām Latvijā, ārvalstīs, fiziskām un juridiskām personām, citu valstu basketbola klubiem un starptautiskām basketbola organizācijām, tādējādi popularizēt Rīgas un Latvijas vārdu ārpus valsts robežām; Popularizēt un reklamēt basketbola inventāru un citus sporta piederumus |
