Veselīga dzīvesveida veidošana, vispusīga fiziskās sagatavotības attīstība un skolnieku piesaiste sistemātiskām fiziskās kultūras un sporta nodarbībam specializējoties vieglatlētikā t.i. skriešanā;
Maksimāli iespējamo bērnu un pusaudžu skaita iesaistīšana sistemātiskās sporta nodarbībās; Skolnieku veselības nostiprināšana un vēlmes nodarboties ar fizisko kultūru un sportu radīšana; Noteikt skolnieku spējas un atbilstību turpmākām sporta nodarbībām un patstavīgu interesi par to; Īpaši talantīgu skolnieku (kuriem ir perspektīva sportisko rezultātu sasniegšanā vieglatlētikā starptautiskā līmenī) atlase; Sporta rezezervju un augstas kvalifikācijas sportistu sagatavošana dalībai dažāda līmeņa garo distanču skriešanas sacensībās; Fizkultūras -sporta, atveseļošanas pasākumu un sacensību organizācija un norises nodrošināšana; Mācību - treniņu nometņu organizācija; Konsultācijas skriešanas entuziastiem; Tālākizglītības semināru organizēšana; Individuālu sagatavošanas plānu sastādīšana skriešanas un triatlona amatieriem un profesionāļiem. |
