Uzturēt un veicināt praktiski pielietojamo zināšanu pārnesi starp speciālistiem augu aizsardzības jomā - augu pataloģija, herboloģija, entomoloģija, augu minerālā barošanās ietekme uz augu slimībām, kaitēkļiem, nezālēm;
Veicināt šo specifisko zināšanu pārnesi un apmaiņu Baltijas valstīs un Ziemeļvalstīs, veicināt Latvijas speciālistu, konsultantu iespējas apmeklēt pasaules līmeņa pasākumus augu aizsardzības nozarē; veicināt neatkarīgu pētīju un informācijas augu aizsardzībā pieejamību lauku reģionos, sevišķi mazāk labvēlīgos apvidos; Veicināt kvalitatīvu izpratni par augu aizsardzību bioloģiskajā saimniekošanā, gan laukkopībā, gan augļkopībā, gan lopkopībā u.c. lauksaimniecības nozarēs, kā arī piemājas dārziņos. |
