Apvienot humanitāro un sociālo zinātņu nozaru pētniekus (esošos un topošos zinātņu doktorus) un veicināt atbalstu nacionālas un vienlaikus laikmetīgas pētniecības attīstībai un pilnveidošanai Latvijā, sadarbojoties ar citām pētniecības un izglītības institūcijām Latvijā un ārzemēs.
Apzināt, interpretēt un popularizēt ar humanitārajām un sociālajām zinātnēm saistītas parādības, izmantojot tradicionālās publikāciju formas (raksti krājumos, žurnālos, grāmatās, dalība zinātniskās konferencēs) un jaunāko tehnoloģiju sniegtās iespējas (interneta vide, elektroniskie resursi). Teorētisku un praktisku pētījumu projektu īstenošana, ar humanitārajām un sociālajām zinātnēm saistītu konsultāciju sniegšana valsts un pašvaldību iestādēm, augstskolu, privātpersonu un starptautiskajiem pasūtītājiem. |
