Operational objectives

Zinātnisko pētījumu veikšana un sabiedrības informēšana un izglītošana par vidi, īpaši par ezeriem un purviem un ar tiem saistītajiem procesiem pagātnē, mūsdienās un iespējamām izmaiņām nākotnē;
Ar fundamentālu un lietišķu palīdzību veicināt pārdomātu dabas resursu, īpaši sapropeļa un kūdras resursu izmantošanu;
Veicināt izpratni par zinātnisko pētījumu nozīmi un to pielietošanas iespējām purvu un ezeru apsaimniekošanā;
Balstoties uz pētījumu rezultātiem, izstrādāt metodes un ieteikumus ezeru, purvu un vides apsaimniekošanai, veicināt labas prakses piemērus un ilgtspējīgu vides attīstību;
Sadarboties ar vietējām un starptautiskām organizācijām, sabiedrībām, valsts institūcijām, komersantiem, un privātpersonām, kas saistītas ar ezeru, purvu un vides izpēti un/vai apsaimniekošanu.
