Operational objectives

1. Biedrības mērķis ir veicināt arheoloģijas attīstību Latvijā, apvienot saskaņotai darbībai arheologus un arheoloģijas interesentus arheoloģiskā mantojuma izpētei, saglabāšanai un popularizēšanai.
2. Veikt zinātnisko darbību arheoloģijas ietvaros un jomās, kas ar to saistītas.
3. Informēt sabiedrību par biedrības veiktās zinātniskās darbības rezultātiem un jaunākajām arheoloģijas atziņām.
4. Kompetences ietvaros sniegt konsultācijas un atzinumus jautājumos, kas saistīti ar arheoloģiju.
5. Celt arheologu profesionālo līmeni, stimulējot piedalīšanos zinātniskās u.c. kvalifikācijas iegūšanas un pilnveidošanas procesā.
6. Celt arheoloģijas prestižu sabiedrībā.
7. Pievērst sabiedrības uzmanību un interesi Latvijas arheoloģiskajiem pieminekļiem kā Latvijas kultūrvēsturiskā mantojuma sastāvdaļai.
8. Atbalstīt Latvijas arheologiskā mantojuma apzināšanu, popularizāciju, izpēti un aizsardzību.
9. Sekmēt Biedrības biedru sabiedriskās aktivitātes un komunikāciju, sadarbību ar citu valstu arheologu organizācijām u.c. vietējām un starptautiskajām organizācijām.
10. Veicināt Latvijas arheoloģijas vēstures izpēti un rūpēties par arheologu piemiņas saglabāšanu.
