palīdzēt skrajciema Augštūja iedzīvotājiem risināt sociālas, ekonomiskas un praktiskas dabas jautājumus;
atbalstīt Augštūjā dzīvojošās sociāli neaizsargātas personas vai personu grupas, tai skaitā, ģimenes, daudzbērnu ģimenes vai saimniecības ar bērniem, pensionārus, cilvēkus ar invaliditāti;
organizēt pasākumus un kursus Augštūjas iedzīvotājiem jaunas pieredzes iegūšanai dažādās jomās;
atbalstīt kultūras, mākslas un sporta attīstību Augštūjā;
uzturēt, papildināt un veidot jaunas Augštūjas vērtības, paražas un tradīcijas;
veicināt un atbalstīt Augštūjā dažāda veida uzņēmējdarbību un tūrismu;
apzināt Augštūjas vēsturi un informēt par būtiskākiem notikumiem;
organizēt reklāmu un dažādus citus mārketinga pasākumus biedrības un Augštūjas atpazīstamībai un tās pasākumiem;
panākt skrajciema nosaukuma maiņu no Augštūja uz Sussika;
veidot sadarbību ar citām formālām un neformālām organizācijām, tai skaitā pārrobežu sadarbību ar Igaunijas, Lietuvas, ziemeļvalstu, Ukrainas, Krievijas un Baltkrievijas NVO.
