| Operational objectives |
1. Pētīt un izzināt Latvijas mākslu un kultūru, kā arī kultūras mantojumu kopumā;
2. Pētīt un izzināt Eiropas un pasaules mākslu, kultūru un to mantojumus. 3. Dokumentēt, saglabāt un popularizēt Latvijas, Eiropas un pasaules mākslu, kultūru un to mantojumus: 3.1. īstenojot un sekmējot zinātniski-pētniecisko darbību, 3.2. sekmējot pētāmas jomas pieejamības nodrošināšanu plašākai sabiedrībai, 3.3. īstenojot un atbalstot jomu popularizējošus pasākumus: seminārus, konferences, izstādes, festivālus, radošās darbnīcas, plenērus, pieredzes apmaiņas pasākumus, publicitāti u.t.t.; 4. Pielietojot laikmetam atbilstošus paņēmienus un iespējas, tai skaitā starpdisciplināro sadarbību, veicināt sabiedrības interesi un izpratni par kultūras un tās mantojuma nozīmi; 5. Aktualizēt mākslas, kultūras un kultūras mantojuma lomu mūsdienu cilvēku sabiedriskajā un garīgajā dzīvē; 6. Rosināt cilvēkus uz radošām darbībām, interešu izkopšanu, pašnoteikšanās brīvību, tostarp mazināt cilvēku ar īpašām vajadzībām sociālo izolētību, motivēt tos darboties, attīstīt savas prasmes un aizcināt līdzdarboties sabiedriskajā un kultūras dzīvē. 7. Veidot un sekmēt nozares profesionāļu, atbalstītāju un interesentu aktīvu sadarbību Latvijas, Eiropas un pasaules mērogā. |
